OCISO established the Marion Dewar Scholarship Fund in 2008 to honour the late Ottawa Mayor, Marion Dewar’s lifelong commitment to the cause of immigrant integration. The goal of the Scholarship Fund is to provide financial support to foster academic and leadership excellence in immigrant and refugee youth by supplementing the tuition and supplies required for their post secondary education.

This year, the Marion Dewar Scholarship Fund Committee will give out 2 scholarships to immigrants and refugees who will be pursuing a first degree or certificate program in an accredited post secondary institution in the National Capital Region. Please review attachments for the 2010 Scholarship Fund application form,  selection criteria and an update on the Fund. English and French versions are enclosed.

The deadline to submit completed applications is October 18, 2010.
