Different provinces have different dialects but they can all understand each other (Arabic is widely used because of the Islamic religion. English, French and Italian are also used) Almost 100 per cent of the Somalis are Sunni Muslim.

This timely conference will bring together scholars, community activists, religious leaders, educators, parents, youth, law enforcement agencies and policy makers to examine the role of the Diaspora in preventing youth radicalization  and providing  a sustainable solution in their communities and countries. Participants are expected to deliver scholarly papers, presentations, and panel discussions.

 

This conference will enhance the role of Somali Diaspora communities in the western countries to learn more about youth radicalization and preventative tools and strategies. It is also intended to provide an opportunity to develop positive and timely relations and cooperation among Somali communities, law enforcement agencies and policy makers.
